Beachgoers Frolic As The Train Goes By

Train 11, stretched out in all its glory with a complete consist, hugs the bluffs above the Pacific Ocean while beachgoers frolic in the surf below this afternoon.

After I posted this picture the conductor working the train yesterday told me the fourth coach was just deadheading south. And sure enough, when it went back north today as 11 it only had three coaches.

Still, it's nice to see four coaches in the consist.

That is Jalama Beach which is between Concepcion and Sudden    (North of Santa Barbara)
