Erik Date: 05/21/15 07:20 Re: Nobody is Complaining, So More Semaphores Author: atsf4life Not me! I never got a chance to see semaphores in person. Doubt if I'll see them before they're gone. I don't see many photos of them lit. Are they approach-lit?

Date: 05/22/15 00:59 Re: Nobody is Complaining, So More Semphores Author: jkkeck Are the blades on all of these old Santa Fe semaphores made of wood? So many of these blades look like they are starting to split.
Are these blades all original, or were these being replaced/repainted by the SF/BNSF while the Raton line was an active freight line? Date: 05/22/15 01:44 Re: Nobody is Complaining, So More Semphores Author: 1976 >> I don't see many photos of them lit. Are they approach-lit?
The signals on the mainline are, but some are burned out, some are dim, some of the lenses are faded plastic, etc. The signals on the sidings are constantly lit as they are not bonded and won't detect the presence of a train. Here is West Levy and East Watrous. >> How long did it take to get them? First trip was 4 days of chasing, second was 3 1/2 days chasing. >> You did well, glad I could help, you got to a couple of intermediates I have never been to I think. Nice hustle! === === = === JLH Thanks again for the help. I decided I had enough "typical" shots and sacrificed quantity for variety this time. Thanks to all for your comments. Hope to make it back at lesat once more to work on more obscure locations. Date: 05/22/15 22:39 Re: Nobody is Complaining, So More Semphores Author: zfan Great stuff!! Keep em coming!!
