Nice light.
I've always been fascinated by the distant light / nearby dark that Maxfield Parrish employed.
You've got it here.
Thanx!

There's a Best Western motel on the north side of the freeway.  I was lodged there while on out of town assignment for So. Cal. Edison, and managed get an upper level room at the rear.  I removed the screen from one of the windows to get some photos of trains going by, and several months later, when heading further west (highway north) I noticed that the screen was still missing.

That's a great bridge.  Have been on the train crossing over the freeway and watched the train pass overhead from the freeway.

"Sometimes I realize
My days are getting on
Sometimes I realize
I'd best be moving on
And I wanna go home
Sunlight's fading and there's not much left to say...

My life, I'm better off alone
My life, I'm better on my own

Driving down Pacific Coast
Out on Highway One
The setting sun
Gooooooooooooooodbyeeeeeeeeeee..."

Lyrics to "Pacific Coast Highway", which Brian Wilson wrote a couple of years ago specifically to be the last Beach Boys song ever. I was reminded of the melancholy song by your wonderful photo of the deserted highway and the sea in the sunset.
