Passenger Trains > A few at Amtrak's Portal BridgeDate: 07/04/15 08:58 A few at Amtrak's Portal Bridge Author: rfprr1 I spent a an hour or so bobbing around in the Hackensak River in a kayak, hoping to catch Amtrak's 642
returning south after bringing a Florida train into NY. No such luck but there was quite a variety of trains. 1 ACS 64 627 heads south approaching the Portal Bridge in the New Jersey Meadows with the Empire State Building looming in the background. 2 A NJ Transit MU set crosses the Portal. MU sets are becoming rare with all the multi-levels. 3 A DC bound Acela creeps along, following the Transit MU train. 5 AEM 7 904 south over the bridge. 6 Amtrak 640 takes a Florida train toward DC. This is the train I was hoping 642 would be on. rfprr Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/04/15 09:04 by rfprr.
