I never liked having to flag over the Pajaro River bridge on the coast around MP92 I believe. It had "P" signals on each end because of the Earthquake detector attached to it. The head brakeman would walk across the bridge and then signal me to come ahead with my multiple 205 ton SD units. Night time was the worst. How could the brakeman inspect the bridge in pitch blackness?
