Passenger Trains > Missing: one great dome car

While Amtrak announced that the Adirondack will feature a dome car six days a week starting on September 24th, it has still not shown up on either the southbound or northbound Adirondack. AMTK 69 is supposed to have a great dome on Saturday's, but here AMTK 69 is at Plattsburgh station with the usual 100% Amfleet consist, and no great dome at the head end. The first shot shows it curving along the waterfront towards the Plattsburgh Station and in the second shot the train is stopped at the station.

WIsh they would restore this old station into something of full use. It's such a nice two story brick station.

I wonder if the dome is on a RIP track in Albany.

It would be nice to know where Ocean View is and when it will be actually running on #'s 68 & 69.  A trip depends on this!!!

Last coach in the first pic looks like an Amfleet II...are these regularly assigned to the Adirondack?

Yes, 2 Amfleet-2 per train, allegedly for the Canadian traffic, but in reality for the "shorts". Sometimes those cars are closed altogether.

Do they still add a NYC coach at Albany for the southbound trip?

3 of my 4 round trips over the last 2-1/2 years had 6 cars all the way between NY and Montreal.
