It figures. I've been waiting all year to take my kids on the Surfliner from LAUPT to San Diego. We scheduled our trip for 10/18 along with a day at Sea World. So much for that, we'll drive.

For some time the Amtrak web site for info/reservations has only been showing LA-Irvine.

It has not however showed up on travel alerts.

Any itea how its been posted?

Any way, I have now posted on TO twice now,  plus what Amtrak posted and is showing in availabity.  No other TO should be caught off guard.

Thanks.

I think the service alert has been up for a couple of weeks.  Availability on Amtrak.com was adjusted about a month ago to show bus bridge Oceanside-San Diego the first two weekends of October and Irvine-San Diego the third one (due to NCTD MOW work north of OSD).  It also shows a service alert when you attempt to book any ticket on the Surfliner.  But I'm still there are some who are surprised when they show up and see a bus, unfortunately!  Three more weekend work windows scheduled in January.
