Passenger Trains > Friday morning during the BIG little storm in Croydon, PADate: 02/06/16 09:09 Friday morning during the BIG little storm in Croydon, PA Author: Mgoldman With a late heads up on a Friday morning sneak snow attack on the Northeast, I
made a quick visit to Croydon station on the NEC (between Philly and Trenton). The snow was thick, fluffy and wet but was short lived wrapping up by about 9 AM. Here's the best shot of the morning: Amtrak Citites Sprinter #648 /Mitch Date: 02/06/16 09:24 Re: Friday morning during the BIG little storm in Croydon, PA Author: knotch8 Very nice photo.
Looks like it's a northbound train at Croydon. With only 5 cars and what looks like a cab car on the rear, I'm guessing it's a Keystone train from Harrisburg. If it was at about 7:20 a.m., it was Train 640. If it was at about 8:25 a.m., it was Train 642. Date: 02/06/16 10:31 Re: Friday morning during the BIG little storm in Croydon, PA Author: Mgoldman That train showed at 8:30 AM but was headed west (south).
Good call on the cab car - didn't even catch that at first glance and it's certainly the clue I'll be using to identify Keystones after the fact. I dunno if any trains were cancelled but it sure seemed like forever between photo ops, with the 10:07 "westbound" (South) Acela nearly 45 minutes late followed by an 18 minute late Cities Sprinter pulled Regional. /Mitch Date: 02/06/16 10:45 Re: Friday morning during the BIG little storm in Croydon, PA Author: AndyBrown Nice tunnel effect with the catenary support system. I know you guys probably get tired of hearing this from me, but I sure like those 600s!

That would be Train 641, New York to Harrisburg, having departed New York at 7:25 a.m. and arriving in Philadelphia at 8:50 a.m.
