Passenger Trains > Superbowl 50 At Santa Clara Caltrain Station - Pre Game

Well, the game itself is not over, but here are two photos taken at the Santa Caltrain Depot. 

First shows Caltrain Extra S04, loco 906 and Amtrak Extra, loco 2015 arriving together at the Santa Clara Caltrain depot at 11:40 AM. 
Second shows the BNSF Special arriving at Santa Clara Caltrain depot at 12:35 PM.

The BNSF train has 12 cars, as shown below:
Mount San Antonio (generator car)
Trinchera Pass
Topeka
Gerald Grinstein
Mountain View
Canyon View
Lake Superior
Missouri River
John S. Reed
Stevens Pass
Marias Pass
Raton Pass
BNSF locos 3951 and 3920.

Caltrain Extra schedules all drop their passengers at the Mountain View Caltrain Station, and the Amtrak, BNSF, and ACE trains all drop their passengers at the Great America station.  Both stations are served by VTA light rail..  Extra service buses augment service at these two stations and go directly to the stadium.

ACE - An Altamont Commuter Express arrived at the Santa Clara depot at 11:28 AM. 

All trains continued the short distance to the San Jose Diridon Station for their layovers. 

There were additional Caltrain and Amtrak trains scheduled to arrive later.

Nice shots, good getting the tower into the action!

Seems rather embarrassing for UP.

Their tracks run right next to the stadium, and BNSF provides the varnish.

Maybe they don't care?

Talk about a RARE cpmbination!!  Not gonna happen again.

Oh I agree....unless BNSF buys the Coast Line....

Didn't even think about that, still seems weird to see UP power pass an "SP tower".
