Date: 06/28/16 19:03 Re: Cardinal # 50 and # 51 Author: jp1822 I had an agent tell me that the Cardinal was running to White Sulpher Springs............One could book a bedroom as of last evening for the weekend.
Date: 06/28/16 19:11 Re: Cardinal # 50 and # 51 Author: tq-07fan Go to www.Amtrak.com and type in some of the stations and yes the trains come up tomorrow, Friday and Sunday. All sleepers are gone tomorrow, coach seats are gone Friday but this is also probably related to Fourth of July weekend as well. The Cardinal resumed operation much faster than I anticipated.
Jim Date: 06/28/16 20:26 Re: Cardinal # 50 and # 51 Author: jp1822 Didn't this train get anulled one day, due to heavy rains and washouts?
The least Amtrak could do is perhaps post: 1) Time period train is expected to be anulled. THEN 2) That the train is operating once again. Date: 06/28/16 20:36 Re: Cardinal # 50 and # 51 Author: mundo Train 51 of the 29, showing coach space only Washington to IND.
Train 50 of the 28, is showing coach space only Cinci to Washington. Date: 06/28/16 21:37 Re: Cardinal # 50 and # 51 Author: GenePoon jp1822 Wrote:

It'd be nice but with that department of Amtrak decimated by personnel cuts, the people who used to do the job aren't around any more. Only the NEC (Nothing Else Counts) gets much attention these days and even there, service disruptions get short shrift. Most of the time we on TO find out about them way before they get posted to the Twitter page where NEC disruptions are SUPPOSED to be posted. Date: 06/29/16 07:29 Re: Cardinal # 50 and # 51 Author: Chessie1963 Not so normal for 851. It lost over three hours before Crawfordsville. That sort of time loss often involves a bad scene with a car or other trespasser. Let's hope it's not that.

Thankfully it wasn't the other thing. Chessie1963 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not so normal for 851. It lost over three hours > before Crawfordsville.
