Passenger Trains > Nice Enough To Stay Another Day

I think I'm on day six of "gee, it's nice here, I think I'll stay another day and shoot tomorrow's City of New Orleans."

It's hard not to like it. Two long-distance trains a day, and each evening the venerable conveyance pulls to a stop at the depot, blocking Greenwood, Mississippi's Carrolton Avenue, pictured, long enough to swap conductors with a fresh crew, and allow the passengers to grab a smoke or two.

Tonight, the City was about an hour late and arrived after dark.
