I don't recall seeing any signals with a white light used for signal indication Jerry Martin Los Angeles, CA Central Coast Railroad Festival Date: 07/24/16 19:07 Re: Amtrak train 42 at Lancaster, PA. Author: chuchubob The white light indicates that the block is occupied.

Author: pdt Its just white instead of yellow, which was used in the PRR days. since they changed the Vertical/slanted/horizontal lights to green/yellow/red, they decided to use white on the single "stop and proceed" indication. 2 horiz red lights is stop and stay. with the white light below, its stop and proceed.

Interesting line-up. Just looking at the window widths, it looks like it's an Amfleet-I coach, Amfleet-I food car, 3 Amfleet-II coaches and an Amfleet-I coach on the rear. Does anyone know what The Pennsylvanian's trainset becomes when it arrives in New York. Does it still turn to The Palmetto the next day, with a baggage car added, or does it turn back to the westbound Pennsylvanian? Speaking of baggage cars, wasn't Amtrak talking a few years ago about adding a baggage car to The Pennsylvanian since it handles so many connecting passengers at Pittsburgh with the Capitol Limited? Now that Amtrak has all of its Viewliner baggage cars, does it have enough baggage cars to provide that service? |
