Can't help noticing that there isn't an Amtrak stripe or "wave" (the scheme on Genesis units) anywhere, not even on the Horizon cafe car.

It's Amtrak California's train, so why would there be?

The topos call that the Modesto Main Canal.  Canalbank didn't sound so good as a town name, so they named it after the banks of the Stanislaus River north of town.  ;^)

And don't ask me if the final S in Stanislaus is pronounced - I've heard it both ways.
