Metrolink Lancaster Line Service July 25
Author: mundo

Monday morning (7/25/2016), Metrolink service on the Antelope Valley Line will be impacted by the brush fire in the Santa Clarita area. There will be no Metrolink service to or from the Vincent Grade/Acton, Palmdale or Lancaster stations due to the fire which has prompted evacuations and traffic closures along the 14 Freeway. Metrolink trains will only operate between the Via Princessa Station and Los Angeles Union Station. There will be no alternate bus service to or from the Vincent Grade/Acton, Palmdale or Lancaster stations. The first train, Antelope Valley Line train 200, will depart Via Princessa at 4:50 a.m. All southbound trains will depart Via Princessa at their scheduled times, with the exception of limited-stop train 282, which has been canceled.

The Fire Command will be letting track inspectors into the area today to assess the track condition.

Another interesting part of the story is that there was a Westbound UP Z train stopped by Fire Officials at Lang siding yesterday. The Fire Command allowed the power to run around the train about 5 P.M. and take the train back to LA.
