Thanks for posting.  On a positive note, the passengers will be able to enjoy the desert view today.  But for others, it will be a hassle being so late.

Looks like he's doing all of the allowed 90 mph there.

They normally do, I'd like to know which engine decided to screw up the effort the engineer was doing last night trying to make up time!

once i read that #3 was late, i rapidly made it to this location with approx. 30 seconds to spare before i saw it with 2 amtrak motors leading.  i then took a hurried shot hoping to get #3 at track speed.............

Watched him pass Winslow around 0200 yesterday. It was a log jam on the Gallup. A train tripped the detector for possible broken wheel and in same vicinity, a bad frog was being replaced. Dispatcher started tying trains down on the main.

Freight tolerates you guys because you pay for your priority on our tracks. Other than that, we could give two sh*ts about your time.

1, I don't work for the railroad, and 2, I found out after I posted why 3 was late, only person I know was happy about that was a conductor who likes making extra money being behind freights anyway!

A great example of someone who takes pride in their work, and in serving others.  Really outstanding.
