A Chase of Amtrak Train 14 on a Tehachapi Detour, Part 1

On February 6, 2012 I chased the detouring Coast Starlght from Monolith, CA to Bakersfield.  Here is the first part.

1. and 2. AMTK 67 and 20 with Train 14 at Monolith, 3 miles east of Tehachapi, CA

3. and 4. Waiting for MOW folks to clear the track ahead at Cable, 4 miles west of Tehachapi, CA

5. at Keene, CA

Great series. This was I believe the last train of that 2012 winter. I rode the sunday (5th) train down. UP moves the train through the pass quickly.
