Metrolink Orange County route - open this weekend
Author: casco17

Evidently the trains are "back to normal" on the line through Orange County, even though Metrolink was still using the P.A. system in stations to announce track closures.
Here is the departure board in LAUS this morning, and Metrolink train 660 passing the 6th Street bridge site.  They still have some bridge demolition work remaining, but it should not impact rail operations.

There is no Amtrak train service between Los Angeles and San Diego.

Metrolink is operating with very limited service with no IE/Oceaside service available due to track work on the Olive Sub.

Interesting that they did not change the schedule board to say 'annulled' or 'cancelled'.  Isn't that the advantage of electronic schedule boards?
Also, the SW Chief has returned to its normal route.

Regardless of what the train board shows, I see no indiction that any service operating this weekend.

It is a shame that a modern board can not be kept up todate.  Same as the old saying, Trash in, Trash out!.
