A Chase of Amtrak Train 14 on a Tehachapi Detour, Part 3

I ended my chase at the ex-SP depot at Bakersfield.  It must have been a really neat place in its hayday.  Here are 5 photos. 

Crews were changed at Bakersfield but it was not a passenger stop.  UP 841, a GP38-2, looked on.  As a reminder, the Amtrak power was AMTK 67 and 20, both P42DCs.

I believe the building housed the San Joaquin division offices at one time.

I was traveling a few days before your chase and caught the Bakersfield handoff.

And tomorrow is the eleventh anniversary of the David Gunn Starlight detour over Tehachapi.
