Photos of AMTK 89 with the Boston Section of the westbound Lake Shore Limited (Train 449) at Palmer, MA on June 10, 2013.

1. Balfour Beatty Rail Inc. RM80 (a ballast undercutting machine) and other MOW equipment was on the CSX main track so, as you can see In the distance, the Amtrak came through on the long siding.

2., 3., and 4. Coming through Palmer on the long siding.

5. Leaving the siding, crossing the diamond with the New England Central RR (Genesee & Wyoming Inc,), and heading for Springfield, MA.

Enjoy,
Marty Bernard

Nice. Rarely photographed.  Working on the  depot? looks  like a  classic.

Yes.  Now  the Steaming Tender restaurant and bar.  Classic Boston and Albany design by H. H. Richardson.
