Passenger Trains > Amtrak Train 1011 in Portland, OR in 2008Date: 12/03/16 23:36 Amtrak Train 1011 in Portland, OR in 2008 Author: MartyBernard Remember when SP had that landslide near Oakridge, OR and Amtrak ran the Coast Starlight in two parts. The south part from Klamath Falls down and the north part from Eugene, OR up. These five shots are of the southbound north train departing Portland Union Station and entering the Steel Bridge on May 5, 2008. The first shot was taken at 2:29 pm, maybe a couple minutes last out of the station. The locomotive was AMTK 83, a P42DC.

The Hood River News ran a picture of it at the UPRR station on their front page, it was the first passenger move through town since Amtrak.
