Passenger Trains > Notes on my rail journey, part 5Date: 12/04/16 11:38 Notes on my rail journey, part 5 Author: retcsxcfm Sunday October 30,2016.San Antinio
7AM Loading train 22.We back out of the station for about a mile.Conect to mainline,15" down. I am old and my so called attendant was no help at all.I had to manage my bags into the car. Good diner crew, but I noticed no table cover or place mats. BNSF north of Temple rough track. Monday October 31. I don't know where were last night but the track was still rough. North of St.Louis Riding through the normal route,I noticed the placement of fences along the R/W preparing for the high speed service.110MPH? On all the trains I rode the sightseer was never cleaned. And on this train the snack attendant was never heard from. Lincoln,Il. depot under rebuild. Crews kept passengers informed of delays. There were plenty.15" @ Joilet as example. Arrived Chicago 40" down, pulled in. The biggest surprise of this trip as well as others, we did not get run out of the sightseer before arrival as on all other trains I have ridden. More to come. Uncle Joe,Seffner,Fl. Please make sure to write to Amtrak ( with as much detail as possible) telling them of those incidences that don't meet the decent service test. There's a new Sheriff in town who does care AND knows how to get results.

Yes miles upon miles of fencing. Illinois being one of the most corrupt state in the nation, I wonder who got the contracts for all that fencing. > Crews kept passengers informed of delays. There > were plenty.15" @ Joilet as example. > Arrived Chicago 40" down, pulled in. Any idea of what caused the delays? Date: 12/05/16 16:27 Re: Notes on my rail journey, part 5 Author: retcsxcfm > > Crews kept passengers informed of delays. There
