This is the plan to route some Tri-Rail commuter trains from legacy CSX tracks onto Florida East Coast tracks for the last few miles into a new station in downtown Miami. Florida East Coast and All Aboard Florida would also use these tracks, but continue north on FEC.

Given the number of trains they want to operate on FEC portion of the line, a lot of right-fo-way fencing and protection will be needed, to keep the public OFF the tracks.

Another Wollman Rink project. Was an old project in 2009 when Amtrak was already well aware of the platform length issue. Makes you wonder if they've canceled the move to Miami Airport altogether.

It is called the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) at Miami Airport. Miami Central is the AAF station downtown. |
