Surfliner Equipment Assignments in L.A.

I friend of mine from the mid-west is planning a trip to California and wants to know what Pacific Surfliner trains use the set of equipment that's comprised of single-level Amfleet and Horizon equipment. Is it consistent or does it get moved around a lot to various schedules?

I don't know what happens from LA south, but north of LA it has generally been doing the 761/790 trip every third day.

Before the schedule change last year it did the 761/790 trip every other day, but it seems to be every third day now. Not always, but usually.

761/790 is the morning trip to San Luis Obispo, and afternoon return trip south.
