Passenger Trains > #7 running as full section to Seattle. No #27 for 1/18/17Date: 01/18/17 02:36 #7 running as full section to Seattle. No #27 for 1/18/17 Author: SCspotter Just got word from an inside source that due to the major freezing rain and ice storm in Portland, Amtrak has decided to run #7 as a full section to Seattle. There will be no #27 in Spokane and the full trainset will run to Seattle. It will run back out as #8 in the same configuration later in the day on 1/18/17. Might be an interesting sight to see. Train is currently about an hour and a half down into Spokane according to Dixieland.

No #27 for 1/18/17 Author: Auburn_Ed When it happenned last year to me, they brought everyone to Seattle, then sent them to Portland on a Cascades train. If it was bad enough to cause the #27 section to 'detour', then I wouldn't want to be on a bus in the Gorge.

I noted that it was yesterdays delayed 28 t hat caused today's 8 into St Paul to be so late. I believe 8 from Seattle had been on t ime at SPK and had to wait for 28.

Seem to recall 8 from Seattle into SPK on time or early but they had to wait for 28. Good job t today, Amtrak.
