Passenger Trains > On-Time Superliners — Two Of Them

On-time trains — two of them — meet at San Luis Obispo on Monday afternoon.

The southbound Coast Starlight, left, prepares to pull out of the depot as its northbound counterpart pulls into town.

The northbound train paused short of the depot long enough for a crew member to climb down from the engine and jump right on the southbound before it departed.

The new ties littering the right-of-way are part of an upcoming replacement project from Guadalupe to San Luis Obispo.

Both trains were running on the advertised.
