@PacSurfliners: ALERT: Trains 769 & 784 are delayed due to a rock slide near the tracks in Santa Barbara. We'll post more info as it becomes avail.

US 101 northbound is closed at SR

KABC-TV news showing mud across the freeway near Seacliff.

I am rather worried about train 790.  
I hope they will make is past Pont Conception and Point HOnda area between SURF and GOLETA in socal.

761 was unable to make San Luis Obispo today, so 784 is bringing the equipment south from Santa Barbara. The combined 784 is more than 2 hours late and still in Santa Barbara.

774 was unable to depart San Luis Obispo this morning due to mechanical issues. Now, that trainset is coming south as 790 with a UP leader.

769 is waiting in Oxnard.

A couple of mudslides were found and the tracks cleared for use at restricted speed. But then a couple of new issues popped up and they're chasing them down now.

The track inspector told the DS they will need to bring in equipment, hopefully tomorrow, to fully clear the slides.

As for 790, at 16:00 they were at Tangier waiting for 14.

New plan: 790 is returning to San Luis Obispo.

Dispatcher told them just before 17:00.

Radio chatter indicates trains might start moving between Santa Barbara and Ventura soon. But nothing is certain today.

 THank you VERY much for keeping us updated on trian 790.
I am still rather WORRIED about this train as it is in an inacessable area near Pt concepcion =.
I hope 790 returns SAFELY to SLO.
