Date: 02/18/17 01:04 Re: Amtrak Police Chicago Author: SN711 One side note is that they keep saying that the person that was killed had no criminal record. Yet, one photo that is floating around on the internet as part of the story shows him wearing an orange jumpsuit. Looks suspiciously like a booking photo ( maybe he wasn't convicted) .

It probably helps that the victim was from out of town (although Chicago has been the site of protests of shootings in other cities). The warm weather this weekend (and the weekend) may help bring people out for protests. But riots are stupid. The level of emotional response has not reached stupid. Date: 02/18/17 10:25 Re: Amtrak Police Chicago Author: NSClevelandLine The "I thought he was reaching for a gun" and "I feared for my life" standard defenses are really getting old. And ineffective. Why did you think he was reaching for a gun? Did you see one? Couldn't be that since he didn't have one. How could someone who is running away from another, unarmed, be considered a deadly threat? Absolutely disgusting. I'm glad to see changes brought. A conviction is another story...

Search here: http://www.odmp.org/ The evidence in this case will have to be sorted out in court. "Yes." "And you shot him in the back?" "Yes." "Why did you shoot him?" "I shot him because he had a gun." "He didn't have a gun." "Well I thought he had a gun." "Ok ... case dismissed." Not good. Date: 02/18/17 12:56 Re: Amtrak Police Chicago Author: NSClevelandLine SN711 Wrote:

It's risky and dangerous. That's why it's not for everyone. If you're not comfortable with the risk that you may be shot at and/or killed, don't take the job.
