Nice shot!!

A little tour of the photo - the train is on the old DL&W Boonton Line, Lackawanna's low-grade line that branched off the Morris and Essex passenger line at Denville, continued through Patterson (part of the line is now Interstate 80) and on to Hoboken.  The close road bridge is the western spur of the NJ Turnpike.  The railroad bridge in the background is a single-track lift bridge over the Hackensack River, which replaced an antiquated double-track swing bridge in the 1950's.  On the other side of the bridge used to be DL&W's Secaucus yard.  In the far distance are the skyscrapers of downtown NYC, with of course One World Trade Center being the prominent one.

A 48 year old EMD locomotive hauling a scheduled passenger train. That's a beautiful thing.

Really a sweet pic and excellent capture of the NYC skyline!  Do you ever encounter security issues in these urban locations?

The only place I've been hassled is the PATH station in Harrison, NJ.
PATH has a strict ban on photography.
