Passenger Trains > Odds of Southwest Chief on time 3/19 arrivalDate: 03/17/17 17:58 Odds of Southwest Chief on time 3/19 arrival Author: PRR-GG1 Looking for all prognosticators to give me there chance that #3 departing 03/19 arrive on time or at least before #14 heads north. It's a huge gamble between not loosing 2 hours and will I be disapointed with a missing Palor Car.

Chance of having a Parlor Car is another question, they are sussposed to returnstarting 3-17, but who knows?
Barry Draper Date: 03/17/17 19:20 Re: Odds of Southwest Chief on time 3/19 arrival Author: agentatascadero i saw 14 passing through south Salinas on the 15th, it was moving pretty fast, so didn't get a good look, but what I (think I) saw was unusual : baggage, dorm, 2 sleepers, diner, business class car, Pacific Parlor, 2 coaches, 9 cars total. Anyone else see this one?

With the schedulle padding between Fullerton and LA and hold policy of train 14, seldom is the connection not made. But it does happen, freight derailments, weather etc. They can also make bus transferconnections between San Bernardino and such cities as Santa Barbara.
