In addition to a recently announced three day tour across Nebraska in early August celebrating Nebraska Statehood, now the railroad 
has announced a rare opportunity for the public to ride behind them on  a one-day excursion from Omaha to Columbus, Nebraska and return.
The date is Sunday, August 13 and benefits the Union Pacific Museum. Ticket priority will go to Patrons of the Union Pacific Museum.
