Bill Deaver Tehachapi, CA Date: 03/28/17 20:59 Re: amtrak 14 ready for take off Author: wa4umr The last two cars look like the Evelyn Henry and the Warren R. Henry. Beautiful cars, inside and out.

Let's all hope the buyer keeps them together and continues to make them available for public trips.

Date: 03/30/17 10:01 Re: amtrak 14 ready for take off Author: kpcmcpkva SWA taking off over is both symbolic and doable. Before SWA started flying out of Norfolk, I made connections at Baltimore/Washington-Thurgood Marshall using
Amtrak from Newport News, Va. The Northeast corridor has usable connections with airports for Washington National, Dulles, BWI_TM, Newark, Providence, RI, and South Station, Boston. A planned trip has group of 4 taking a Norfolk, Newport News to Boston trip and back on Amtrak. SWA fares out of Norfolk are not what they used to be. |
