I was at Delaware Car Company (Wilmington DE) on business yesterday. DCC specializes in wreck damage repair of passenger cars, as well as prototype engineering solutions to problems.

Inside the buildings were:

1 Amtrak AEM7 (they do part of the overhaul for Amtrak).

2 METRA bilevels from the BNSF line. Major sideswipe damage from a locomotive.

1 Metro North Bombardier cab control car "The Connecticut Yankee". I think it was a grade crossing accident victim.

1 or 2 MARTA subway cars.

1 private car (Budd stainless steel open platform obs converted from a C&O Chessie car). I think this was once Robert Young's private car. Storage only.

1 private car (Budd stainless steel x-UP sleeper).

5 car sets of Heritage fleet trucks for heavy truck overhaul (for 5 Heritage coaches being converted to baggage/mail/express cars at Amtrak's Bear DE shop)

Stored outside were:

2 or 3 SPV 2000 car shells

1 CTA el car (parts source)

1 (x-PRR?) lightweight passenger car. I think it is a dorm lounge. Storage only.

I would hope that Amtrak would send them all their single level equipment that needs wreck repair.
