Passenger Trains > San Jose Light Rail/Diridon StaDate: 05/24/01 21:10 San Jose Light Rail/Diridon Sta Author: av The question I am going to ask was recently posted on the Altamont Press Board and no answer ever appeared. The new Vasona light rail line in San Jose is going to pass "under" the Diridon Station (Cahill Street). Apparently work has already started. According to the info on the VTA website, the Diridon light rail station will be on the west side of the existing yard, apparently near the Caltrain service area. Here's the question! How are riders of light rail going to get into the Diridon Amtrak/Caltrain station? No information relating to this seems available on the VTA website or anywhere else. The new light rail line added to the nearly 100 trains (Caltrain, ACE and AMTRAK) will really make for an exciting facility.
