Passenger Trains > Mail Train #10Date: 01/05/02 05:14 Mail Train #10 Author: jack_deasy A friend, who is knowledgeable on NEC matters, tells me that Amtrak is thinking about consolidating the northbound Twilight Shoreliner (#66) and mail train #10 into a single consist to save some money.
What is the schedule of mail train 10? I assume #10 originates in Washington. Where does it terminate - New York, Springfield, or Boston? Date: 01/05/02 06:40 RE: Mail Train #10 Author: rdg484 Mail 10 originates in Washington, DC at 7:00 PM and arrives at Springfield, MA around 2 or 3 AM. If they consolidate the two trains into one, it would have to be split at New Haven.
