INCO electric 117 question
Author: FIREMAN424

I have some questions about this unit. Does INCO still have it or has it gone the way of the scrapper? I am particularly interested because it used to run through my neck of the woods on the St.Louis and Belleville Electric Railroad. Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Randy Allard

Questions on Canadian subjects are generally posted on the Eastern or Western boards. INCO no longer has any electric surface operations. Everything has been dieselized with second hand GP38's. A detailed roster is available in "The Canadian Trackside Guide". A look through back issues of the Guide might shed some light on the disposition of the electric loco in question.

If you can't find the book locally, try here:

Well worth the investment especially if you're going to Canada. Chock full of historical information on equipment disposition too.

What happened to the electrics and the earlier-generation diesels?
