International Railroad Discussion > More from BrazilDate: 04/02/14 19:26 More from Brazil Author: kjangel More pictures from Brazil. Hope you enjoy. Finally got something other then new GE's
Picture 1 - Two southbound ore loads sit in Bom Jardim de Minas yard (P2-06) waiting to head south to the ports. Picture 2 - MRS 5244 (SD40-2) is assigned to a work train today picking up ribbon rail. Picture 3 - Typical view along the run. Lots of high bridges and tunnels. 47 tunnels in 100 KM run south of Bom Jardim. Date: 04/02/14 19:52 Re: More from Brazil Author: kjangel Picture 4 - More typical views from this line, high bridges and tunnels.
Picture 5 - MRS 3299 (U23C) and another older GE are assigned to ballast train. The yard is being expanded adding three additional tracks. New GE's are on the rear of a ore train. Picture 6 - Narrow gauge locomotive #4073 works (I think Vale RR) a yard. Not sure the model of locomotive. Date: 04/02/14 20:07 Re: More from Brazil Author: kjangel Picture 7 - Not the best shot of narrow gauge locomotive 6160
Picture 8 - Three older MRS GE's, a 3600, a 3700 and a 3800 sitting in the yard. Picture 9 - Love the paint on this narrow gauge locomotive #4057. Notice the dual gauge yard. Date: 04/03/14 00:26 Re: More from Brazil Author: 86235 Great stuff!
Picture 6 is I think an EMD G8 of Ferrovie Centro Atlantica, as you say a subsidiary of Vale. Picture 7 #6160 is an MLW MX620, I didn't realise they were still around. Thanks.
