International Railroad Discussion > Freight from the platform at OmiyaDate: 07/12/14 14:00 Freight from the platform at Omiya Author: Railpax71 A few from the Omiya, Japan platform waiting for our train on the Tochigi line.
1. EF64-1021 with sing level containerized freight 2. EF210-2 pulling a solid consist of Eneos tankers Date: 07/12/14 18:26 Re: Freight from the platform at Omiya Author: cchan006 Nice catch of the unit tank train, which usually carries crude oil loads towards inland from Port of Kawasaki.
The Japanese freight foamers that frequent Omiya know the schedules of the freight trains, so they often show up about 5-10 minutes ahead of the train, and once they get their shots, they disappear. See any expensive camera bodies and/or lenses while you were there? This shot is from the window as we were passing first time. I did notice a lot more people with cameras than usual now that you mention it.
