International Railroad Discussion > Another Aussie Video with Bulldog'sDate: 09/23/14 18:48 Another Aussie Video with Bulldog's Author: AussieGWAdriver Hi all,
A video from last week in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. First we have Genesse & Wyoming loaded grain, 2152 from Keith hauled by GWU009, CLP8, ALF19, GM42, 703 (GE/EMD/EMD/EMD/ALCO) topping the 2.2% grade at Mt. Lofty and then passing through Belair on 9/17. You could say this combo is a C44AC, SD40-3, SD40-3, SD18 in E unit body, C620 (if it was built in the US) combo. Then we have 9L65 CFCLA/Espee Rail Services locomotive and ballast hopper transfer from Islington Workshops to Goulburn and Canberra in NSW. It was hauled by bulldog's S300, S311 and Goninan/GE EL53 on 9/19. The two 16-567C's drown out the GE FDL12. Enjoy. Justin You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Join Today! Scoob, the G&W power is based in Adelaide, South Australia at Dry Creek. As for the blue and silver CFCLA stuff, it can be found in South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria as they are lease units. Some are based in Adelaide and others at Goulburn in NSW. Justin Date: 09/24/14 13:26 Re: Another Aussie Video with Bulldog's Author: 8notch Thanks for showing us some Aussie action. Do most of the train horns sound like the ones from the video? They sorta sound like a car horn.

The horns on S300 were pretty average. They are an RVB 3 chime and still don't sound that good when working properly. Cheers, Justin Date: 09/24/14 17:29 Re: Another Aussie Video with Bulldog's Author: Milwaukee Yes everything was awesome in this video except the sound of those horns. The one on that last consist sounds like it's off a Nissan. Beautiful scenery there.
Thanks for sharing. Date: 09/24/14 19:04 Re: Another Aussie Video with Bulldog's Author: LJGross Great stuff, thanks! Looks like graffiti is as big a problem in Oz as it is here in the U.S. :(

Cheers, Justin Date: 10/07/14 15:32 Re: Another Aussie Video with Bulldog's Author: Frank30 Beautiful countryside, immaculate right of way, clean engines AND look like newly painted cars. I was going to comment on horns, until I scanned down and saw that others had already done so. They do sound tame as compared to the rattle your teeth examples in
the US. Thanks for the posting. Frank 30 (Boston) |
