The location is the first siding east of Town of Reshue China. March of 2004.

Very nice shot! The location of the station for Reshui is called Galadesitai. This is a west bound train at the east end of the siding. This is the location where everyone wanted to be at sunrise.

Were you aware that the grade between Yuzhoudi and here at Gala was steeper than that of the climb to Jing Peng Pass?

Never tire of photos from the JiTong.

Thanks for your comments…never saw a track profile for the Jitong, but I would think East bounds had a stiffer grade to fight.
