Today we had a 1956, Built in USA, at LA Grange, a model G12 NZR class DA loco with a 567 motor arrive on a test run, with a Mico rail device attached to I think read the rail top for cracks etc. It will be doing a few runs up and down the line to get a reading of how the rail is holding out. The loco is owned by Dean, and it is manly at Glenbrook Vintage railway. I hope you enjoy this very small clip.It was filmed by David who I work with.. Cheers Brian.. Edited 1 time(s). The New Zealand Rail DC class were a "rebuild" of the DA class, #s1400 - 1429 built in USA 1430 - 1439 build built Clyde Engineering Australia the rest were build in Canada. This loco started work with the NZR in January 1956 and was retired in December 1987. There are about 4 Da left that I know of and the are 1410, 1429, 1431 and 1471 Cheers Brian.. |
