Charles Rice Saint Louis, MO Date: 04/08/15 18:26 Re: Oil trains in New Delhi, 1990 Author: lee_uintah India has never been self sufficient, and continues to import oil from wherever it can get it. Some supplies have come from Iraq, and from other Gulf states, and India was also trying to set up some routes to get oil from Iran.
So lots of oil is imported. Once in the country, the best way to move oil is by rail tank car. Rail rules the roost. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/08/15 18:33 by lee_uintah. MC Columbia, Missouri Date: 04/10/15 19:42 Re: Oil trains in New Delhi, 1990 Author: spdaylight Interesting to note that the oil cars have only four wheels per car while the freight cars seen later in the video have the normal eight wheel trucks . . . thinking due to the short length of the oil cars . . .?
