Yes there is ,but not at this particular location.Double stacks are usually broken down at points west of here.Clearance issues on much of the network down here.
Was this power on the train all the way from the west.

Thank you for your replies and it is so much appreciated. Yes, there are some double stacks from Perth, Western Australia to Goobang, near Parkes, New South Wales and also from Adeliade, South Australia to Darwin, Northern Territory but I am not sure about it. Some locos runs all way from Perth to Sydney but some of them have taken off and replaced simialar locos. Hope, it is interest you all.

I am impressed by this transcontinental operation. Does this train operate on a regular basis, such a once per week? Are the containers all domestic or does it take international containers off ships in Perth/Fremantle area and move them east? is there a westbound service?

Yass Junction is on Main Southern Line, which is from Sydney to Melbourne via Moss Vale, Goulburn, Yass Junction, Harden, Cootamundra, Junee, Wagga Wagga, Albury and then onwards to Melbourne but all frieght trains goes to Perth or Sydney have go through Cootamundra West, Forbes, Goobang near Parkes, Broken Hill and then onwards all the way to Perth or Sydney on either way.
Perth/Sydney (PS6) goes through Yass Jct on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays morning.
Sydney/Perth (SP6) goes through Yass Jct on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays morning (very early)
Sydney Perth (SP3) goes through Yass Jct on Saturdays morning (early)
Sydney Perth (SP5) goes through Yass Jct on Saturdays (evening)
Sydney Perth (SP6 goes through Yass Jct on Sundays (very late evening)
All Sydney Perth (SP6) goes to Chullora Pacific National Yard for unloading containers and load some containers on other Pacific National frieght train goes to Port Botany Yard, as these very long trains will not fit to go in Port Botany Yard for unloading or loading. Chullora Yard is in west of Sydney. Hope, it is interest you all.
