Witbank collierys had a collection of former SAR 4-8-2s over the years. Near the end of steam operations, they acquired three Baldwin-built former SAR class CB 4-8-2s from nearby Tavistock Colliery. Their shed was located near the SAR sidings at Saaiwater where the 8 km line connected with the SAR.

5. 4-10-2T No. 1 long out of use at the shed. 6/13/84 This engine was built new by North British Loco Works for Witbank Colliery in 1928. A copy of the SAR H class built much earlier. This engine is preserved and the only existing example of an unmodified H class. 6. Baldwin built former SAR class 15B 4-8-2 No. 1 near the end of steam operations on 6/27/92.
