My daughter is over in Tokyo at the moment on a 10 day school scholarship, and she posts pics from outside her host families house yesterday. Looked like quite a bit (2 - 3 inches) of snow on the ground in the early hours of the morning.

It was very bad in the morning and some lines were closed down due to snow.  Even running trains got slow orders.  Even reduced the number of trains on the line.  This even made worse. Almost everyone got effected.  But by noon time, the sky cleared up. And things were getting back to "normal" by evening time in Tokyo.
