Date: 01/27/16 04:46 Re: More Japanese Steam (and diesels) Author: Labby Your photos are wonderful and fascinating. Was wondering if some of these locos used an external dry pipe for steam delivery from the boiler, because of the shroud over the steam dome. Went looking for information and found some. It appears that the steam dome delivered steam internal to the boiler. Found the information and plans at a delightful site listed below.
Thanks again for sharing these pictures. Japanese Steam Locomotives: http://homepage3.nifty.com/EF57/index.html Date: 01/27/16 10:34 Re: More Japanese Steam (and diesels) Author: africansteam Outstanding posts! Keep 'em comming!
Cheers, Jack Date: 01/27/16 10:36 Re: More Japanese Steam (and diesels) Author: glibby Labby: Thanks for your reply. My knowledge of the technical aspects of Japanese steam is superficial, and I really can't respond to your question. I will check out the material at the link you have identified, and I hope you have been able to find the info you sought.
