The Time Again - Some Downunder Pictures
Author: AussieGWAdriver

Hi all,

After almost a six month absence, I have finally been able to post some stuff. I have regulary checked in to see what happening but never enough time to post. All photos are in South Australia unless noted.

First lot.

1. Pacific National service 6MP5 exits Sleeps Hill tunnel in foggy conditions hauled by NR29, AN6, DL42, DL44 on 8/22/15.

2. A few kilometres further down the track at Mitcham, 3MP7 rolls downgrade hauled by NR81, NR16, G530 on 8/26/15.

3. Powering away from the city of Port Pirie through the locality of Bungama, GL108 hauls Bowmans Intermodal service 4416 bound for Bowmans on 9/1/15. These UGL/GE CM30-Mmi were rebuilt from Goodwin/Alco DL500G units in 2003. The engines, alternators, traction motors etc came from retired Conrail C30-7A's and were rebuilt before being placed in the rebuilds.

Great presentation from your past few months, Justin.  Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, regarding GM43 and CLF6 on the ballast train, I didn't spot a horn on the CLF6.  Where do they hide 'em?

'Love the GM43 style locos.

Best regards,

-- Greg

Love the shots from Downunder. It looks like grafitti has spread to the downunder also, what a shame. Thanks for posting this great series of shots.
