What railroad is this?
Author: poffcapt

Does someone know what railroad has the initials of an upside down V, followed by LL. The track the train was on is dual gauge. The diesel locomotives looked American. I saw this on a video on Facebook.

Thanks.

ALL (Latin American Logistics) operated in Brazil.  ALL got the concession to operater several lines when when the government owned railways was awarded to private entidies.  ALL locomotives looked very American as many came second hand from US roads.  A year or two ago, the Brazilian government revoked ALLs operating concession, saying that they had violated the terms of their contract.

I think that the above post should read "A year or two ago, the Argentinean government revoked ALL's operating concession, saying that they had violated the terms of their contract." The concession was revoked on June 4, 2013, by Argentina's then socialist Peronist Government. Most viewed it as nationalisation, the other Argentinean owned rail freight concessionairs had their below rail assets confiscated at around the same time, although the above rail operating entities were allowed to continue trading, on what is now a semi open access network.

In Brazil ALL entered into a transport JV with sugar producer Cosan in early 2009, the JV vehicle is Rumo. On January 28, 2013 Cosan announced that it had gained control of ALL via an off-market purchase of shares from ALL's leading shareholders

Brado Logística was formed in April 2011, This merged the road/rail container handling division of ALL, with Standard Logística

The red ALL livery is gradually disappearing, with their trucks and rail assets now wearing Brado and Rumo branding
