My first pics of 2017 (Brazil)

Hi, here are some of my first pics taken on January 1st, 2017.

1) GE U20C´s 2688 and 2596 resting at EVP yard;

2) GE BB40-9WM 6181 and 6048 and EMD BB40T-2 4820 and 4830 passing by the yard with empty Holcim cement train Y402;

3) A close on the BB40T2 of the same train.

Great to see you post again!

I'm curious if you have more shots of the nose of that BB40T-2 there. It has a different nose headlight configuration than the way any of them were delivered.

Good morning and Happy New Year Pedro,

Did you ever get the chance to get to Sao Paolo to take photos or videos of the
Stadler rack drive locomotives at work with the loaded iron ore drags and the
empties coming back up hill from the port?

I guess my question is why no dynamic braking on these units?

The dynamic brake fans were relocated to inside the long hood.

Aha! They gave it a nose job with an original EMD nose-headlight design it seems, instead of the original Rio Grande nose-gyralight box.

I think the nose job was done by UP. Here the shops worked only to fit the BB trucks under it.
