This is a typical JR Central(Tokai)'s class 113(built in 1963, max operating speed of 100 kilo meter per hour) since this consist has a light gray colored diaphragms(equipped on the end facing east only) and gray under frame and trucks.

Above the diaghragms the indicator said "Toyohashi." And this is taken tokohashi. I guesstimated Train 961M from Hamamatsu that had been terminated at 20:02. A conductor had just got off from his carbine putting his bag down. His long day might be over soon by reporting back to the dispatcher.

Hope this helps,

Hiroshi

A four-car consist multi-purpose class 311 was intended to compete with private railways’ modern equipment by JR Central in 1989. Basic design was same as class 211 and 213, in order to cope with max. operating speed of 120 kilo meter per hour, enhanced braking system was installed with more aerodynamic style control cab design.
This class includes the following cars:
Kumoha 311 Motored coach with control cab with seating cap of 56
Moha 310 Motored coach with seating cap of 64
Saha 311 Trailer coach with seating cap of 64
Kuha 310 Coach with control cab with seating cap of 52

Hope this helps,

Hiroshi

Train Number 3, a combined "Blue train service" of Nagasaki bound "Sakura" and Kumamoto bound "Hayabusa" will be traveling down Tokaido Mainline then to Sanyo Mainline to Kyusyu. A 5-car consist Sakura will be in Nagasaki at 13:05 next day whilst 6-car consist Hayabusa will be in Kumamoto at 11:42.

EF66 number 50 built on Oct 2, 1974 is from Shimonoseki engine facility. It was assigned to A2 turn to pull Number 3.

Hope this helps,

Hiroshi

Welcome on board of Train Number 21M Ltd. Express "Wideview Inaji Number 1" traveling 129.3 kilometors from Toyohashi to Iida. Ltd. Express service was not seen on this Iida line not until JR era. Class 381 was used to run Extra Ltd. Express time to time. In 1996, "Express Inaji" was discontinued to introduce New Ltd. Express service. Good Ole class 165 was the common equipment on these days to perform Express train service, but not applicable for Ltd. Express service. So that JR Central decided to introduce a brand new class 373 for this new Ltd. Express service. Class 373 was introduced in 1995.
You are standing behind the control cab, one of the best places to see all actions of railroading. Mirrored letter and number F8 suggests this is Fourmation Number 8 of class 373 from Shizuoka Facility.

Hope this helps.

Hiroshi

A 1923 built good ole station was rebuilt in 1992 to exhibit one of modern style structures located on mile post 129.3 kilometer from Toyohashi climbed up to 512 meter from the sea level. The new design with red-color scheme suggests “Iida Apple” one of famous agriculture product of the region. The facility includes Iida CTC center to control Iida line traffic.

Hope this helps.

Three-car consist is class 373 whilst a single car is Kumoha 119 of class 119. Kumoha 119 is capable for one-manned operation between Iida and Tatsuno.

Hope this helps.
