Railfan Technology > Nikon D200 Camera; Battery - False no chargeDate: 06/02/09 19:02 Nikon D200 Camera; Battery - False no charge Author: cozephyr With a fully charged battery, my Nikon D200 suddenly indicates a low battery with the flashing symbol in the viewfinder on an intermittent basis (I've tried several EN-EL3e batteries). Top display LCD shows 1 bar level. When this happens, the aperture display changes to f 2.5, even with a lens that's only f3.5 maximum aperture, and the shutter may or may not fire but with a clunk that results in a black image. Sometimes, shutting the camera off then on again cures the problem temporarily. Unfortunately, problem reoccurs on irregular basis. Camera warranty ran out. New lens - what gives?
Anyone else encountering this Nikon D200 issue? Date: 06/02/09 20:40 Re: Nikon D200 Camera; Battery - False no charge Author: JWR Check for firmware updates. I had similar problems with mine. After the updates, problem seems to have disappeared.
